Hawick Youth Rugby's U18s first league match of the season as they travelled to take on a much bigger Morpeth Colts and for much of the first half Hawick rattled rattled their opponents going ahead 14-7 just before the break however Morpeth won over in the second half and with a few cheap scores given away in the second half in the end this saw Hawick beaten by 56-19.
Many of the boys will be sore this morning for sure but they can also be proud of their efforts and performance and there's lots to work on but also a huge amount of positives to take forward to their Scottish Cup game next Saturday at home to Stirling County.
Try Scorers for Hawick were Riley Muir, Filip Kubicki & Fraser Casson with two conversions by Greig Cartner.
